Project Details:
I felt honoured to be chosen to design and make six tables for Moot Hall in Aldeburgh. Moot Hall is a very fine example of a grade 1 listed building that enjoys multiple uses. Parish Council meetings, town clerks’ office, the building is also open to the public as Aldeburgh Museum.
My tables had to reflect these differing roles, be light enough to re arrange for a council meeting or put into ‘museum mode’. Two of the six tables are extending which help with the versatility.
All made from solid English Oak, the four main tables enjoy a marquetry centre piece - Aldeburgh's town seal!
Four main tables are 2100mm long x 700mm wide
Two extending tables extend from: 1400mm to 2100mm x 700mm.
