Heritage Crafts

It is an absolute honour and privilege to be supplying Heritage Crafts (est. 2020) with three leather lined Sandringham Oak medallion boxes and my part in a bronze trophy every year.

HRH Prince of Wales is the president of Heritage Crafts.

Heritage Crafts aim to support and promote endangered crafts within the UK. Unfortunately some crafts have already become extinct and many are critically endangered. It is wonderful to have an organisation that is supporting and safeguarding craft skills.

Each year a winner will receive a trophy which features a 3D bronzed version of HRH Prince of Wales feathers. A piece of carved Sandringham Oak holds the bronze to a Caithness stone base. Caithness stone is used extensively at Balmoral Castle and the oak is hand selected from the Sandringham estate.

Each runner up will receive a hand jointed box with a bronze medallion.

Sean Hedges-Quinn is the artist and incredible sculptor who is in charge of designing and making these awards. http://www.seanhedgesquinn.co.uk

To be making prizes for some of the best craft practitioner’s in the UK is beyond a privilege and utterly terrifying! https://heritagecrafts.org.uk/presidents-award-trophies/
