Army Lynx helicopter seat converted into an office chair, complete with original height adjustment mechanism.
Proved to be quite the challenge, attaching wooden legs to an aluminium chair would have been difficult enough but this chair needed to rotate as well! A three legged design was chosen to accommodate an uneven floor, castors were added for user convenience.
I resprayed the seat in it’s original army colour to freshen it up after years of service. I think the Oxblood buttoned leather work really sets the chair off. Perfect for any man cave!
Made from solid American black Walnut and veneered Birch ply where appropriate.
