A stunning coffee table made from a section of Suffolk Oak which had succumb to a storm and had been buried for many years near Nacton Shores before being rediscovered and carefully dug up.
Very carefully cleaned and looked after for many years to ensure it dries slowly and doesn’t attract wood boring insects.
Low iron toughened glass for a super clear and very strong top (12mm thick) which also allows you to fully appreciate the shape and texture of this wonderful log.
I have used Scottish Elm for the legs which have been ebonised to tone nicely with the Suffolk Oak. Legs are adjustable in height to allow for uneven floors and have felt pads to protect hard floors.
A massive amount of charm, interest and character in this piece. It is truly a one off.
